About a month ago my wife and I went to Lake Meadow Farms to get some groceries. I saw a flyer for a dinner benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and was instantly intrigued! I emailed them and asked if I could come and take some photos of the event and they happily invited me to come be a part of the evening.
The dinner was held outdoors in one of the pastures owned by Lake Meadows. Food was catered by chefs from The Ravenous Pig, K Restaurant, Cuisinier's Catering, and The Rusty Spoon. Together they served a four course meal using ingredients from local farms! This was the first year of the event and hopefully not the last. Multiple other restaurants and businesses sponsored the event and donated items for a silent auction allowing for additional proceeds to go towards the foundation.
I believe that life is meant to be shared with others–both with strangers and friends–and it was awesome to see over a hundred people all gathered at one table sharing food and enjoying community with one another. I also believe its important to support local farms and know where our food comes from; It is encouraging to see these things used as a catalyst to support the fight against diseases like Cystic Fibrosis. It is important for us to get out of our bubbles and support things bigger than ourselves. I hope that this is the beginning of more events like this in the Orlando area.

I did my best to capture the essence of the evening and hope you can be encouraged to support and pursue things that are good and worth fighting for. Enjoy!
And...... Then it rained. The rain however didn't seem to quench the evenings festivities. The transition to a covered area was actually incredibly smooth and no one seemed inconvenienced or bothered!
